Day 1 Arrived FRESHWATER BAY EAST.

Day 2 Very hot!
Walked along coastal path.

Drove to Pembroke – mainly in search of a hat! Not much there. The castle looks impressive but didn’t bother going in. Apparently Henry V11 was born there. Also Henry 1’s mistress, NEST (that was her name) reputedly the most beautiful woman of her time was sent there to marry the Marquis of Pembroke. She had originally been taken hostage when Henry’s forces defeated her french father in France. She became Henry’s mistress and bore him a son, but then she was sent to Pembroke.
Then drove to ANGLE which seemed like driving to the ends of the earth but lovely village and beach.

Then on to FRESHWATER WEST

Day 3 still hot! Drove to STACKPOLE QUAY then walked along the coastal path to BARAFUNDLE BAY, reputedly one of the top ten beaches in the U.K. and I wasn’t disappointed. Had a paddle.

Walked back along the coastal path. Then on to MANORBIER for another coastal walk.

Day 4 – Still hot! Drove to BROAD HAVEN BEACH had a paddle. Then drove along coast. Stopped near DRUIDSTONE HAVEN and walked along coastal path.

Then on to NOLTON HAVEN – lovely cove – lovely cafe!

Then drove to ST DAVIDS – the smallest coty in the UK. Nice town – lovely cathedral – talked to christian lady named JULIET GOSLING.

Then went to WHITESANDS BAY to watch the sunset.

Day 5 – left FRESHWATER EAST went to TENBY for shory stay before setting off for home. Stopped off in CIRENCESTER and walked to the Roman Auditorum – waste of time as it was just a large grass mound which I could see almost anywhere! Didn’t rate the. town but hey I’ve been there now. Shalln’t go back!

Drove back through BIBURY and BURFORD.
