He’s the unknown football fan. Just a name on a seat amongst many names. A fan that supports his team when they are down and out, and when they are up and in. A fan that even at a distance looks out for his team, who wants to know how they are, who they are, & where they are. And even when he can barely rise from his armchair still wants to know. Who watches the two minutes shown on MOTD late on Saturday night when he can barely see the screen. He’s the fan that met my mum after a match back in 1949 and 70 years later are still together. He’s the fan that said “I’ve been supporting Leicester City for 85 years and it’s finally paid off” when we won the Premier League in 2016.
